Emergency Shelter Services
The Haven Home opened in November 2017 to provide emergency shelter to women and children experiencing homelessness. In collaboration with Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, the shelter provides a single room, laundry facilities, meals, and bedding for up to 14 families. Families in overflow shelter remain at The Haven Home until a bed opens up at a local family shelter.
During their stay at The Haven Home, case management is provided by FrontLine Services to ensure each family is connected to resources needed to assist with housing, child care, and other resources. With the assistance of The Haven Home staff, children are enrolled in school, connected with transportation from the shelter to their school, and provided with any needed school supplies.
